“We don’t know exactly what the Star of Bethlehem was.” And it is precisely this fact that enables the artist Christian Nienhaus, together with Michelin-starred chef Nelson M\u00fcller, to venture his very own interpretation: the five neon letters STERN are at the center of the kinetic work. The tail is a whisk and comes straight from Nelson’s kitchen. Nienhaus’ requirement that the star “Estrella” should be something “radiant” was fulfilled in the end. The overall work of art shines bright green.<\/p>\n
This year, the proceeds from the auctions of the works of art will go to the “Artists for Kids” project, which was founded by film producer Bernd Eichinger himself. BMW made a firm commitment of \u20ac100,000, which was presented to the presenter and daughter of project founder Nina Eichinger in a ceremony that almost brought tears to her eyes. The additional profit from the auction will later be added to the sum and can thus ensure help for many children through the project. The majority of the proceeds will be used to renovate a house in which the children to be cared for will be offered leisure activities and continuous educational support<\/p>\n
