These two kinetic light objects by Christian Nienhaus present a cocoon. Everyone is confronted with life and environmental influences on a daily basis. Even before we are born, we are protected in our mother’s womb and in life we have and find people who accompany and protect us. This shell in the formation of an endless knot opens up in several places and gives the viewer a view through and into the object. The colorful glow and the perception of one’s own reflection reflects the energy and diversity of life to the viewer. The outer layer is made up of wafer-thin layers of metal. Natural and artificial illumination characterizes the meaning of an opening or closing blossom. Hence the title of the object with the interpretation: That knowledge and humility always make life worth living.<\/p>\n
